Hoop Rush
This booth is for everyone who could've turned pro before their knees gave out - one ball, one hoop, sixty seconds to prove it.
The guy who sold it to me swears it's normal that the rim moves. I'm not convinced. Neither are half the people who walk away muttering about "physics."
Maybe they're right, but who cares? Step right up, ladies and gentlemen!

Game overview
Hoop Rush is a swipe-to-shoot basketball arcade game built for quick, high-score runs. Try to keep a chain alive while the clock ticks down.
You've got 60 seconds. Score as much as you can before time's up. Misses don't end the run early, but they do wipe your combo, so every throw still matters. As your score gets higher, the hoop gets restless, but you've got this!
A clean basket - nothing but net, no rim contact - pays better than a clunky bounce-in. Stars sometimes float in your path for a little bonus if you can clip them on the way down. It's the fairground booth fantasy: one more ticket, one more throw, one more chance to look like you meant it.
How to play
Each run of Hoop Rush gives you a ball, a hoop, and a minute to make them get along.
- Swipe up from the basketball to shoot.
- Earn extra points for clean baskets (scoring without touching the rims) and chaining successful shots.
- Timing and launch accuracy are everything.
Why players like it
Hoop Rush is easy to understand. Swipe, score, do it again. You know right away if the throw was soft, wide, or perfect.
A clean basket never gets old - especially once the hoop starts moving and you still put it through without touching rim. Miss, and the combo's gone. That sting is half the fun. As is keeping your combo running after bouncing off the rim three or four times.
Anyone can pick it up in a few seconds. Staying for "one more minute" is the hard part.
Tips and strategy
Once the swipe feels natural, these habits are what turn a handful of baskets into a score people notice.
- If you're having trouble finding the rim, hit the stars. Those floating bonuses are free points when a shot isn't cooperating, and they add up faster than you'd think.
- It's all about smooth movement. Jerky swipes send the ball everywhere.
- Swiping faster means your ball goes higher. Need more arc for a distant or moving hoop? Put a bit more speed into the swipe instead of aiming wildly.
- Get multiple clean baskets in a row and your ball starts glowing. These are worth more points.
FAQ
How do I chain a combo?
Land baskets back to back. Each consecutive basket grows the combo and multiplies what the next hoop is worth. Miss a shot and the chain resets to zero - you can keep shooting for the rest of the minute, but you're building the streak from scratch again.
How do I get a super high score?
Chase clean baskets - shots that go through without touching the rim. Those pay a bigger multiplier than a shot that rattles in. Pair that with a long unbroken combo and you'll climb a lot faster than someone banking every shot off the iron. Stars help fill gaps, but the big numbers come from nothing-but-net streaks.
Do the stars affect my combo?
No. Stars are bonus points you can grab mid-flight. They don't grow or save a combo on their own - only consecutive made baskets do that. Grab them when they're in the path; don't wreck a good run just to chase one.
