Atlas is the adventure that ties every game on Gem Arena together. Each game you play earns you Atlas Points (AP), which you spend to repair a chain of floating islands, one landmark at a time, and uncover the story of what went wrong.
It's free, you play at your own pace, and every game counts - whether you're chasing a high score or just enjoying a quick round.
What's happening to the islands?
The islands of Gem Arena are in trouble. Quakes shake the ground, portals send travellers to the wrong place, and wild gusts of wind tear through the stations that keep everything connected.
Each island has a beacon, and one by one the beacons have gone dark. A surveyor was sent ahead to investigate, but nobody knows whether she made it through.
As you repair each island, you'll meet the people who live there, find the clues left behind and piece together what's really going on. Why did the beacons stop working? And where is the surveyor now?
How to play
Every island is covered in broken landmarks. Here's how you bring it back to life:
- Play any game on Gem Arena to earn AP.
- Open Atlas and look around the island. Each landmark that needs fixing has a marker on it.
- Tap or click a marker to see the landmark, how much AP the repair costs and what you'll get for it.
- Spend your AP to repair it. Most landmarks need more than one repair to be fully restored, and every repair gives you some bonus Energy.
- Uncover hidden landmarks. Some parts of the island only appear once you've fixed the landmarks around them.
- Switch the beacon back on once every landmark is restored, then travel to the next island to continue the story.
How to earn Atlas Points
AP comes from playing games. The more you play - and the more you mix it up - the faster your island comes back together.
- Every game counts. Each game you finish earns AP, even if it's one you've already played.
- Play well. A strong score earns you extra AP on top.
- Try different games. Your first few different games each day earn bonus AP, with an extra reward when you complete the set.
- Play the game of the day. Your first few rounds of the featured game each day earn bonus AP.
- Reach the minimum score. Very low scores don't earn AP, so give each game a proper go.

Is Atlas free to play?
Yes. Atlas comes with your Gem Arena account. Every repair is paid for with AP, and AP comes from playing games.
Which games earn AP?
Every game on Gem Arena earns AP, as long as you reach the minimum score. Mixing up the games you play and trying the game of the day earn you the most.
When do the daily bonuses reset?
The bonuses for playing different games and for the game of the day reset every day at midnight UTC. The AP you've already earned stays in your balance until you spend it.
Why can't I repair a landmark yet?
Either you don't have enough AP yet, or the landmark is still locked. Locked landmarks become available once you've repaired the ones around them, so keep fixing what you can.
What do I get for repairing landmarks?
Every repair gives you some Energy to play more games, moves the story forward and brings you one step closer to restoring the island.
What happens to my AP when I travel to the next island?
Any AP you haven't spent comes with you. Each new island has its own set of broken landmarks to repair.
I've missed part of the story. Can I catch up?
Yes. The story button at the top of the island shows a recap of everything that's happened so far.
What happens when I've restored every island?
New islands, and the next part of the story, are on their way. Keep checking back to find out what happens next.
