GemWorld Studio is an indie game studio based in Bordeaux, France, crafting fun multimedia experiences that feel alive. We have over 50 years collective experience writing stories and building digital products, apps, and games.
We’ve done it all; from individual work, to startups, to large studios. We’ve built experiences across web, mobile, console, and PC, for millions of players. With just enough stubborness to do things properly.
Why Gem Arena exists
We love games. Gem Arena came about from a desire to playtest some of our ideas. To let the user choose from a wide range of game types and try to master them.
We want something for everyone here, along with a competetive element that drives people forward.
No matter what type of game you like, you should find something in Gem Arena to your taste. Then, you can prove you’re the best.
Our approach
We don’t build for the sake of it. Every game has its niche.
That also means:
- We build systems that feel fair
- Progression that comes from skill, not luck
- Games that allow you to master them, and reward you for doing so
- Mechanics that are easy to learn, but have depth
- A game that you can play on any device you own
If something doesn’t feel right, we rework it. If it still doesn’t feel right, we rebuild it. We are our own biggest critics.

We’re a small team by design. It helps keep us sharp, focuses, and a little bit perfectionist.
It also means that every decision matters, and every details gets argued over (in a good way).
We care about how things feel, not just how they work. It’s the small things that add up. And we think players notice the difference.
